Coaches
For all of our trips we only use bona fide first rate coach companies. They all have excellent safety records and comprehensive insurance and are fully risk assessed.
Because we use specialised coach companies you can be assured of good levels of comfort and extras such as videos, refreshments and on-board WC facilities.
In most cases we endeavour to use executive or luxury coaches which offers a good standard of comfort and facilities.
Ferries
We use either the Dover-Calais crossing with P&O Ferries for our World War 1 trips and Germany or Belgium Christmas market trips. This utilises the shortest crossing between the UK and France. The typical crossing is 75 minutes.
For our World War 2 trips we tend to use the Poole-Cherbourg crossing with Brittany Ferries and this may be an overnight crossing with cabins.
Either company offers an excellent standard of ferry with all the amenities you would expect from a world class operator.
Hotels
All accommodation is based on the sharing of twin rooms. Single-occupancy rooms are usually available at a supplement of £30.00 per night, per person. We use hotels with en-suite (private bath or shower) facilities and all have been pre-visited by our staff to ensure that they meet minimum standards of comfort, cleanliness and suitability. All hotels are at least 3 stars.
